My beloved Jesus ... today, while in the chapel, remembered the story that once told us his brother David on the young man who found out of the Church ... a young dirty, ragged and smelly that was begging for a morsel of food ... David said that people walked by pretending not to see him ... and those who were in front, unable to escape from his pleading look, soothed his conscience by giving him some money away ... yes, by far, in fear, trying not to touch him lest they contaminate their misery ...
My Jesus ... imagine the scene when brother David came with his cane ... shuffling and holding not to fall ... with that smile on her lips and eternal peace that never leaves him, even despite the effort involved in their own disability ... imagine when he approached the poor girl looked at him and thine eyes of mercy ... yeah, with your eyes because the eyes of David can not be born elsewhere than in your own heart ...
Lord ... You must imagine how much enjoyed the time ... the young beggar, who hid their material poverty deeper into poverty ... poverty of love, affection, tenderness ... and David, poor in material goods, but the owner of the immense treasure that You I've inherited your closest friends: a pure heart, compassionate and merciful ...
Imagine the surprise of this young man when David came and tenderly stroking his head, gave him a look of dignity and a sincere smile ... that amazing mystery, Lord ... was you, who in the young, expecting to be comforted ... and ages You, who in David you became an instrument of comfort ... and there in that moment that Christ was with Christ, the Gospel was life ...
Now remember this story and thought that your presence in the chapel was not very different from that scene ... You, so thirsty for love like that poor beggar ... waiting patiently in the custody of a soul come to you ... Jesus, you have both give ... both! ... and we are so blind that we pass by your side and we fail to recognize that in this piece of bread, so small and insignificant, our God is hidden ...
But once in a while someone comes along ... someone who, as Brother David, came crawling recognizing their humanity ... unworthy and sinful ... but with the soul filled with joy, knowing that Thou hast brought to your side ... and in that cross from eyes: yours and yours ... found Christ again Christ ...
Jesus ...
I want to thank you for the wonderful time
we spent today in the chapel!
