My beloved Jesus ... today I wanted to start with Father Felix Struik verses chosen for the reminder of their golden wedding anniversary because, although the last two days we were at Mass offered in thanksgiving, I have not stopped thinking of the words said: "I am an accomplished man ... happy and fulfilled ... and if I were reborn, would do it all the same" ...
Lord, these are the words of someone who has lived a full life, honest with himself and of course ... you is not no mistakes, not having achieved everything easily ... he told us many times was about to give up because of the arduousness of the road ... but despite the difficulties, he always lived his life with an eye on you ...
How I wish I could make my own words! ... How much power his words: "I would do it all the same"! ... But Lord, You know better than anyone what has been my life ... You know better than anyone all wounds I caused with my pride, my selfishness, my pride ... how much damage I've done, Lord ... and although my life today is different, many of these injuries continue to cause pain to others while living ...
If only we could understand the consequences of our actions ... if we were aware of the evil that causes (or the good we do) ... furthermore, if we learned to find in each of our brothers ... and finding you and live to Thee ... Jesus mine, You know I'm happy where I am today ... but, unlike Father Struik, if given the chance to live again, live my life differently ...
Once I said something like a friend, remember? Very naive ... and told me they had been such "experiences" that made me who I am ... argument goes, have to be a lifelong rabble to come to know! ... not Jesus, I know I would have followed as today would be lost ... and if I could get out of that cycle, it was only by your grace ... because you had mercy on this poor sinner and took me out of my misery ...
There are things in you that are incomprehensible ... Mysteries, with a capital ... and more to think, and I turn it, and I think again, I find to understand why you have preference for some ... You are God and your love is perfect immensely doing all your creatures ... but every once in a while, you look at one in a special way ... and ... and pamper aware ... and with a tenderness that love knows no bounds ...
Struik know that Father is one of those chosen yours ... it has been since a child ... and has lived a long life aware of that special love for him ... but keep Lord, I can never understand why choose me ...
I can not change my life, but Jesus, I ask you to help me live as long as I stay, correspondiéndote with every beat of my heart ...
